History of the CAU

Chicago Acoustic Underground (CAU) was started in 2006 by Jacob Covington, Engineer Michael Narvaez and Host Michael Teach as an online stage, open 24/7, where original music has the spotlight. This "stage", also known as the CAU website, is active in over 40 countries and offers free downloads of original music, photos and interviews. Started in Chicago, IL USA, the three founders saw the need for singer-songwriters to find a listening audience. This started with website development, a whole lot of server space, and a growing audience of listeners, fans and artists. CAU is expanding with live sound, mobile recording, HD video, album production, promotion, booking, artist development and more.
