About Chicago Acoustic Underground

Chicago Acoustic Underground is an original music podcast series, featuring over 500 acoustic artists and full electric bands from Chicago, the region, the nation and the world. For over fifteen years, CAU podcasts have featured the best original singer-songwriters and bands, who showcase their music with live performances and in-depth interviews in an intimate setting. CAU podcasts are downloaded in over 40 countries.

The CAU Studio is located near Armitage & Halsted in Chicago. Tucked away humbly in this Chicago neighborhood is the hub of CAU: a music machine that supports original artists to reach new fans and heights.

Host Michael Teach has worked throughout the nation and the world with touring bands and has earned kudos presenting artists ranging from Harry Chapin and B.B. King to Hank Williams, Jr. in his vast industry experience. His passion for original music is unsurpassed, and the entire CAU team is boldly pushing forward to create opportunities for original musicians at every level.

CAU podcasts are for you and fans worldwide to enjoy: Podcasts can be downloaded, 100% free, including pictures, interviews and songs. Genres include but are not limited to: folk, rock, pop, jazz, blues, world, alternative, country, alt-country, Americana and much much more.

In addition, CAU has a "sister label" named CAUDog Records offering full-length albums for some of the best "hidden gem" bands and artists in Chicago and the world. (www.caudogrecords.com). CAUDog Records is the namesake of Buffy. If you don't know Buffy now, you will be glad when you do.
