Episode 40 - Christine Knodle E-mail
Christine KnodleYet another beautiful woman from Rockford that expresses her soul through her Piano.

Christine Knodle began as a child prodigy on the violin. She experimented with the French Horn, Trumpet, and Guitar before making the Piano her instrument of choice.

Christine shows a bit of the Trumpet in her playing by adding triplets to her lyrical style. She is a joy to behold and I fell in love with her music immediately.

Catch her live on June 9th at The Starbucks on Perryville Rd. in Rockford, June 14th at The Stockholm Inn in Rockford, and June 29th at Borders in Crystal Lake, IL.

Matt GandurskiI had a blast recording this show and cracking up in between songs. Matt is incredibly talented.

In late 2005 he teamed up with finger style guitarist John Hasbrouck, studying early folk and country blues recordings. Matt also maintains a modest solo career, playing gigs in Chicago and Southern Illinois, and currently hosts an open mic every other Wednesday at the mercury cafe in West Town Chicago.

Episode 38 - Tim Wais E-mail
Tim Wais25 years ago songwriter-singer/guitarist Tim Wais was a raw talent performing on legendary Chicago stages. He could be seen at the “Earl of Old Town”, “Gate of Horn”, “Holsteins” and “The Bulls”, to name a few.

When Tim arrived at the studio it seemed like a reunion of sorts. I was around during those days and through the foggy depths of my memory I am pretty sure I saw him perform back then.

Well, that was then and this is now and Tim brings truth and a bit of protest with him. Pay attention to his lyrics and if you get the chance definitely see him live. He is fresh and exciting and at the same time brings lessons learned from the past to educate today's activists.

Tim will be opening for "Undertoad" on June 16th at The Ringside 554 E. Devon Ave. in Elk Grove Village and you should make it a point to go see him. Tim will also be on a future "Best of CAU" live show.
