Upon hearing Claire Stahlecker, the music can evoke feelings you might not remember having. The fluid notes and palm mutes will give you an image of them floating around you and the lyrics will consume your thoughts, giving you an idea of what it's like when someone elses words and thoughts relate to you and yours. This Chicago native is establishing herself as a credible singer/songwriter in a male dominated genre and has already shared the stage with Chicago up and comers Chris Bryan and Jessica Sonner, as well as Massachusetts native Mieka Pauley whom Billboard Magazine called "a young Sarah McLachlan". Citing John Mayer as the reason she picked up a guitar and other influences such as India Arie and Lauryn Hill, Claire has created a sound all her own that speaks for itself quite well.

Rachael Marie	Sep 24 2008 8:53 PM I couldn't be happier at this point in my life. i've made a shift in majors and I'm studying Public Relations and Marketing Communication w/ a music minor..BASICALLY, I forgot that I'm better at coordinating events than most and so I'm in the works of getting an internship @ a center in Moline, IL called the iWireless Center (think US Cellular Center) so I can eventually bring my friends some big gigs...you know, like you! Which brings me to my next point. Do you have a demo and any desire to play at my college here in Davenport? Because they're always looking for talented college musicians to bring in for special events and I hear they pay well. I could be your PR and hand out a taste of your music so people would know about you before you came. yada yada...things are great and I miss my friends in Chicago, but not the music heory and voice lessons w/ Mimi.
