Young Native's Fundraiser Featuring Corey Wilkes
Episode 210
Urban Aspirations is an organization that I am proud to support and promote. Their goal is to bring in together young aspiring musicians off the streets and into a safe environment where they can hone their skills and network with others while performing in the Sikia Restaurant which is part of the Washburne Culinary Institute on the Kennedy King Campus.
\nChicago notable; jazz trumpeter Corey Wilkes , along with Chicago's premier jazz pianist, Ken Chaney will be performing at the "Young Natives" fundraiser event on July 15, 2009 along with an African inspired buffet dinner and can "bring your own bottle" for further inspiration.
\nUrban Aspirations Founder Marcus Burks along with Corey Wilkes and Kevin Nabors joined me for this promotional show for this event. It was a blast to meet and share our interest in supporting young musicians.
\nI will be there to support this very worthy cause and I am asking you to join me in supporting this event. Even if you can't make it please buy a ticket ($30.00) online through Brown Paper Tickets. I cannot stress how very important this foundation is. Please, Please show your love and buy a ticket!!!!
