LIZ AND THE LOVELIES is the band of singer/songwriter Liz Chidester, originally from the mountains of Virginia. Moving to Chicago in the winter of 2013 by train with 4 bags and 2 guitars, Liz immersed herself into the Chicago music scene, releasing her debut record "People Pumping Pedals" in 2014 under CAU Dog Records. In 2015, she released the EP "Otter Hill", an intimate recording of 5 songs about her family and home life in Virginia. She was awarded as NPR's Newsong Songwriting Competition 2014 Mid-west Finalist, Chicago Music Awards Best Female Vocalist 2015, and a New-Song Songwriter Competition Finalist in 2016.

Her music inspired the talent of close friends and family to create the indie folk rock group LIZ AND THE LOVELIES. The Lovelies include Lewis Rawlinson (vocals, cello), Zach Finch (drums), and Mike Fletcher (bass), with band emeritus members Alex Chidester (vocals, mandolin) and Kevin Schwarzwald (violin).

They released their first EP 'Progress into Simplicity' in 2017. It was nominated for Best Roots EP in the 2018 Independent Music Awards in NYC, and they competed as one of the final four bands in Brooklyn's 9th Annual Silver Sound Showdown in 2018.

Liz lives in Chicago, IL as a teaching artist at Old Town School of Folk Music. She is a critically acclaimed actor and singer.

LEAH SHOSHANAH is a Chicago-based singer, songwriter & guitarist whose soulful, original music deftly navigates the jazz, rock and folk genres. This Fall, Leah embarks on a Brave Woman Tour, a musical exploration of courage through concerts in traditional venues and house concerts from coast to coast. The tour celebrates her upcoming single by the same name and will provide a platform to deepen into a new phase of music-making. Leah is currently stretching her roots in traditional folk music and jazz toward the rock and funk genres, experimenting with electric guitars, alternative tunings, flowing melodic vocal lines and imagistic poetry.

Leah has released two albums, “A Child Like This” (2017), featuring an ensemble of nine musicians and "Stillness", an intimate collection of solo voice-guitar Jazz and Brazilian guitar arrangements. Her music has been featured on WFMT's "The Midnight Special" and on historic Chicago stages, like PianoForte Chicago, The Green Mill and The Old Town School of Folk Music. Leah and her music have toured both coasts and garnered fans with every visit. Leah performs both solo and with her Chicago-based band, an ever-evolving cast of musicians.
