Mister E Machine - Roxy Swain - Liz and the Lovelies
8pm - $7 - 21+

Mister E. Machine is an Indie-Glam Pop band based out of Chicago that combines acoustic rock with indie/pop elements to create a layered rock sound. Mister E. Machine’s debut album ‘Shooting Stars’ was named ‘the best acoustic album of the last few years’ by Rock in Chicago Magazine. The group achieved a successful Kickstarter campaign for their music video “Rosa Marie”, a song about lead singer Manny Capozzi’s sister Rosa who helped him survive years of childhood bullying. Comprised of singer/guitarist Manny Capozzi, drummer/producer Chuck Harling, and bassist/singer Melissa Kemper, Mister E. Machine is currently working on their sophomore album “The Stone Wall’ which will feature local crowd hits like ‘The Grindr Song’ as well as the title track ‘The Stone Wall’. The follow up will be produced by Chuck Harling and recorded and mixed in full analog format by Steve Witt with Reel Recorders Studio.

Roxy Swain returned to the Chicago music scene with their third full-length release Beneath Full Moonlight, a 9-song record released on limited edition vinyl and digital formats in early 2016. With inspiration spanning the genres of soul, classic rock, power pop, dream pop, mod, and indie rock, Roxy Swain has written a mature follow-up to their critically acclaimed sophomore record Restless Hearts. Beneath Full Moonlight offers listeners an ever-changing scope of musical ideas and melodies, while staying true to Roxy Swain’s retro rock past. Roxy Swain is: Chuck Harling (drums), Matt Walters (lead guitar, keyboards) Manny Capozzi (bass, backing vocals), and Roxy Swain (lead vocals, rhythm guitar).

LIZ AND THE LOVELIES is the band of singer/songwriter Liz Chidester, originally from the mountains of Virginia. Moving to Chicago Liz released her debut record "People Pumping Pedals" in 2014 under CAU Dog Records. In 2015, she released the EP "Otter Hill", an intimate recording of 5 songs about her family and home life in Virginia. Her songs received recognition by NPR's Newsong Songwriting Competition as the 2014 Mid-west Finalist, the Chicago Music Awards Best Female Vocalist Nominee in 2015, and a New-Song Songwriter Competition Finalist in 2016. The Lovelies include Alex Chidester (vocals, mandolin), Lewis Rawlinson (vocals, cello), Kevin Schwarzwald (violin), Zach Finch (drums), and Mike Fletcher (bass). Their EP was nominated for Best Roots EP in the 2018 Independent Music Awards in NYC, and they recently competed as one of the final four bands at the Brooklyn Bowl in the 9th Annual Silver Sound Showdown in January 2018.
