Packy Lundholm is a Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer/songwriter. After eight years away from center stage, he is back to fronting his own band to celebrate his latest album AMERICAN SOCCER. American Soccer is a primarily a power pop affair, with a serving of Americana and folk balladry thrown into the mix. The record offers equal parts sarcasm and sentiment, young love and coming-of-age grief, with a sonic palette running the gamut from brash fuzz guitars to New Orleans second line and string quintets. Packy’s band features some of Chicago’s most versatile talent, including Kevin Campbell (Stampy), Ben Dacoba (Jennifer Hall), Ryan Joseph Anderson, and John Szymanski (Jon Langford, Bethany Thomas), with a smattering of friends and well-wishers joining in on horns, vocals, pedal steel, and anything else they can come up with.
Miss Remember is a rock band from Chicago. Formed by Jim Tashjian (gtr, vox), Peter Tashjian (drms), Leslie Beukelman (vox) and Martin Stonikas (bass) when the four were students at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, the members all continue to be active in several circles of the Chicago music scene. The band combines sounds from their rock roots with their love of diverse musics from around the city, the country and the world. Dissonant harmony is often layered with beautiful, simplistic melody. Miss Remember released their first full length record on the Ears&Eyes record label earlier this year.
Charlie Otto is from This Must be the Band, DJ noDJ, and Grood Music. Some of the songs he writes are best performed acoustically, and those are the ones he will play at this show.
