Hey, Facefolks: it's the return of everyone's favorite blue collar gothic spoken word folk opera!
Originally presented at Stage 773 in 2015, TRUE LIFE TALES FROM THE HONEYMOON CAPITAL OF THE WORLD (SOME OF WHICH ARE TRUE) will be presented for one night only, Sunday, April 23rd, 2017, at Davenport's Piano Bar, 1383 N. Milwaukee.
Singer-songwriter Naomi Ashley lends her inimitable musical talents to an evening of autobiographical stories told by writer/raconteur David Kodeski. Childhood memories and heart-felt music mix to create a charming, sometimes sentimental, and often embellished retrospective of life in idyllic Niagara Falls, NY. Featuring a band comprised of Heather Riordan (accordion), Cathie Van Wert (violin), Michael Krayniak (bass), and Paul Bivans (drums).
“I left the show humming some of the tunes I’d heard and with a vivid glimpse of one man’s life in Niagara Falls, a place where I had never really considered life beyond the big touristy waterfall.”
