The Artist

Adam Percy

Since August of 2009, Adam Percy has been cutting his teeth and making a name for himself in Chicago’s live music scene, playing over 50 shows in less than 7 months. Within that time, he has recorded 2 performance interviews/podcasts (Chicago Acoustic Underground, Fearless Radio), and been invited to a showcase in Austin, TX during SXSW 2010. Not bad for someone who, less than a year earlier, was fighting the nation’s achievement gap with Teach For America.

Born in Traverse City, Michigan, Adam Percy grew up playing music since the age of two (according to his mom). Though he holds his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, has worked in State and Federal Government, and has fought for educational equity as a middle school math teacher, he has never once stopped pursuing his love of singing and playing the guitar- a craft he has honed since the fourth grade. Now at 25 years old, Adam Percy is gaining speed like never before, playing to increasingly larger audiences and receiving overwhelmingly positive responses. As Adam begins to take his show on the road, the sky seems the limit for this uniquely talented artist.
