My good friend Eric Lugosch put together this tribute show to the Rev. Gary Davis. He brought in Memphis based Andy Cohen and Chicago based roots musician Eric Noden for a birthday celebration of the Life and music of the Rev. Gary Davis.
These three lifetime students of his music joined together and put together stories and intrepretations of Rev. Gary Davis' unique style. You are in store for an amazing set of music as well as some wonderful stories based on personal experiences with the Right Reverend. Here are some pics from the show. Listen Now! |

Nature Devil is Brian Lambrecht who also plays bass for my Co-Host John Michaels band. This was a riot of a show driven by the Nature Devil himself, Brian. John and I had such fun sitting back and egging Brian on.
You can see Nature Devil live on October 11 and 12 in Princeton, IL at the Civil War - Shadows of the Blue and Grey. Here's some pics from the show. Listen Now! |

Phistine Verona (warning: explicit language) That said, these guys rocked the house and we obviously had one hell of a time.
They are sort of a cross between straight ahead rock laced with a whole bunch of punk. I highly recommend catching this band live. They were dancing all over the studio and so were the Wizard and I.... Here's some pics from the show. Listen Now! |

Episode 156 - Breakers Broken
|
|
|
OK, so these 3 guys, Tim.Herf, and Neal show up as the band Breakers Broken and I'm thinking peace of cake. Three guys, easy set up, and should be over in maybe an hour.
Setup and sound check took an hour alone. Pedals everywhere, two keyboards, bass, guitar, drums, 2 vocals and me adjusting levels on what seemed to be a 5 piece band. It was all worth the effort. These guys totally blew me away. What a JOY to record this show. You can see them live alone with me, this coming Saturday September 27, 2008 at The Abbey Pub at 8 PM. Don't miss this great band! Check out their myspace page for more dates and info. Here's some pics from the show. Listen Now! |

Matthew Haeffel came into my life on a warm spring evening when I was acting as Donna Frost's "roadie" for her performance at Phylis' Musical Inn on Division in Chicago. After Donna's show we stayed for Matthew's and the rest is history. Donna and I said at the same time, Matthew has to be on CAU.
This is a very unique performer and he comes down from Milwaukee often to perform in the Chicago area. Check out his site and go see him next time he is in town. Here are some pics from the show. Listen Now! |
